Candles floating in pretty glass bowls. About $20 per table.
go to the dollar store and buy small photo frames , place a picture in it of your guys decorate with small flowers to match your theme buy sume small mints or jelly beans M& M’S to match the colors and place in small organza bags oriental trading is a great place to buy such things save $$$ ..~CONGRADS~ ,,
This perfect color scheme go to Oriental Trading or Ebay and but mirror center plates purchase three different size of candles also at ebay or dollar store or wherever. and tie them together with a silver ribbon then buy roses (dozen will do) in purple color and rip the petals and lay them on the glass with the candles in the middle. The reflection from the lit candles will look gorgeous on the glass. Or you may do the flat bowls add rose petals in them with water preferebly purple or crystals and top it off with 2 or 3 floating candles. Good Luck!
Raffia and cinnamon sticks look contemporary and are cheap too. Big bowls of scented water with flower heads floating in them creates a sense of lots of flowers, when there might not actually be that many. Try writing each guest a little poem, or give them a card with their star sign and a little description of that star sign. It will really get some convos started!!
you can go to a dollar store and buy mirrors and candles and use them as a centerpiece. it is what i am going to do at mine.
Candles are always beautiful. Use glass beads in a vase to accent them. Maybe an ivory candle with purple glass beads. That would be beautiful. Or get this I’ve seen fish in a glass bowl. thats very unique.
Do you have a Ben Franklin near you? There are many good ideas there and at a reasonable price. When my daughter got married we had vases filled with water and her color of stones half way up the clear vase and a single dyed rose in each. The stones kept the rose in place. It was very simple, yet very pretty.
you can rent tableclths from any hotel or the place your reception will be held… get ivory tablecloths…. use silver confetti on the tables and small tea light candles floating in candle holders with water in them…. you can use purple food color which will reflect a purple hue over the table….
Well, you don’t need more favors, since you have the party poppers and bubbles. But you can still have colorful, easy centerpieces that provide treats for your guests. How about pretty vases from the dollar store (or even a thrift store) filled with colorful candy? M & Ms or Hershey’s Kisses, or how about those candy canes that come in blue, yellow, pink, PURPLE, etc., and all different flavors? The canes would be pretty and you could get more impact for your money.
Good luck!
i’m getting glass candle hurricanes and putting candles in them and tying ribbons around them. you could get some purple candles and some silver ribbon. it’s pretty cheap, about $8 per centerpiece, so it depends on how many you need. I got the hurricanes at Hobby Lobby for $6 each, and you can get a cheap pillar candle for about $2 each. then just get a roll of ribbon. if you want it cheaper, get smaller hurricanes and use votive candles. my hurricanes were 11 1/2″ tall, but they come in smaller.
bowls of hershey’s kisses?
I agree with Heart. Candles floating in colored water or add little purple flowers to the water. You can get plastic bowls…cheaper than glass. Here’s just an example of a decorative plastic bowl. You can always dress up the bowl with glue on beads or crystals.

Although the floating candles are a good idea, you may want to double up to save extra money. Meaning your center piece doubles as your guests goody bags. Simple things like disposable cameras or costume jewlery. Maybe a few stick on tattoos or flower seeds. Fun little nick-naks always keep the party going.
Plus you can’t take the candles home since no one iwll probably re-use them. And candy and mints are overrated.
Just have fun with it.
go to the dollar store and they have a glass heart and put some floating candles in it..its really cute and its like less than two dollars per round table..
I would personally go to the dollar store and get some vases…I would put a mirror under it so it looks more brighter…you can go to Michaels and get some really cheap flowers there or maybe even at the dollar store. then you buy some tealight candles and put them on the mirror to reflect the candle light. OR you can get a vase like a straight one and buy some purple ribbon and have it go back and forth from the bottom to the top zig zaging around it. Then you can have it tie in a bow at the top. You can place an ivory candle in the vase and have a mirror that is partial silver under it. Again it would reflect the light….I am sure it would not be that much money….totally depends on how many people are going to be at your wedding and how many tables? Hope I helped…
glass bowls are like 1.00 at places like K-Mart, put those decorative silver and ivory marble beads at the bottom, fill with water and let purple rose petals float on top and sprinkle rose pedals on table. If you need lighting, don’t put rose pedals at top, insert a tall purple candle into the beads so that it is centered. Tie white and silver ribbon around top of bowl and tie with those decorative wedding rings you get from dollar store
Bowls- $1.50
Candles-$ 4/1.00
Marbles-$1.99 bag (can make 2 bowls)
Pedals- $3.99 bag
Water- Free
