Everywhere you look, there is a lot of emphasis on cutting the fat out of our daily diets, but who wants to cut out the fat if it means cutting out the flavor? When it comes to baking, there is a way to cut down on your fat intake without changing the ingredients in your favorite recipes. If you switch to nonstick silicone bakeware, you can cut down on your fat intake with minimal effort. Because the bakeware is nonstick, you never have to use butter, shortening, or grease on your pans or sheets to ensure easy food removal.

If you love good comfort meals, you will love these old fashion recipes to feed your family and friends.  Miz Hendrick’s Sweet Potato Souffle is quick, easy and a reminder of holiday meals at grandma’s house.  This Pumpkin Ice Cream recipe is so easy it is unbelievable.  You can make your own homemade ice cream without even owning an ice cream freezer.  These are great recipes for the holidays.

Sometimes we all have to get a family meal on the table in a matter of minutes. While we don’t condone sandwiches on a daily basis for dinner or supper, whichever you call it in your area, we believe it doesn’t hurt on an occasional basis. For a quick, hearty meal try these Easy Meatball Sandwiches served with fresh carrot and celery sticks. For a quick and easy dessert, serve the fondue below with pieces of cake or fresh fruit. This is a quick, easy, and yummy meal.

EASY MEATBALL SANDWICHES

This recipe is quick and easy because it uses meatballs from the grocer’s freezer.

24 frozen meatballs
1 jar spaghetti sauce with garlic and onion
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
4 (6-inch) hoagie rolls
shredded lettuce, optional

Planning a Halloween boo-ffet? There is nothing more fun to have on hand than traditional Halloween recipes. It’s great to watch partygoers devour homemade halloween treats such as brains, eyeballs, and toes. It not only makes the party exciting, but it makes it memorable as well.

Here’s one of my favorite Halloween recipes – Yummy Brains.

Yummy Brains

When it comes to cooking and baking, I love experimenting with once a month cooking. This type of cooking is when you spend a day or two making and baking up several meals for your family and then freezing them for future use.

This recipe will make 3 large casseroles that will each feed 8 people. They will keep in the freezer for up to 6 months. You will need three 9 x 13″ rectangular foil baking pans, that I like to pick up at our local dollar store or discount department store. After freezing, thaw the casserole in your refrigerator for 6-8 hours and then reheat in the oven for 20 minutes before serving.

The countdown begins to Friday, Christmas Day, and I thought I would provide some party planning tips and share some Christmas table decoration ideas. These easy Christmas table décor displays are inexpensive Christmas decorations that can be re-used for years to come.

Candles are a great way to provide inexpensive Christmas decorations for your buffet or dinner table. Christmas table decoration ideas revolving around candles include taking a red hurricane glass and candle and creating a wreath around it with fresh flowers. Another Christmas table décor display is to take a glass container, fill it with red rose petals and then place a smaller glass votive with a candle inside.
