We ordered this from Walmart for our 3-year-old train enthusiast, and it arrived in a very distressed box, as seems to be common for these tables. The manufacturer simply does not package them properly to ensure the product arrives without damage. Needless to say, ours arrived with a dozen dings, scrapes and chunks gouged out of the wood. I was willing to overlook this seeing as the table is attractive and a great price considering the competition. Installation was simple, but I quickly realized how flimsy this table really is. The entire thing is pressed wood and is held together by very short screws. After owning it for a week, we decided to move it from the living room to our son's bedroom and after removing the top and going to lift it to move it down the hall, the end snapped right off under very little pressure. We promptly returned it and I will never buy another Kidkraft product again. Very cheaply made and not durable in the least. You get what you pay for, I guess.

A very good design, with no supporting struts underneath to get in the way. Compact when folded up, it feels very sturdy.

These tabels are excellent. They are so easy to assemble a child can do it. I prefer the vinyl top to other wooden slat roll tables for their ease in clean up. The legs and brace bars fit onto the side pocket and roll up for lightweight easy packing or carrying. I have purchased these tables as gifts for friends an family and highly recommend them.

This is the best camping table in the world! Lightweight with a strap make them ideal for bringing along for a picnic, camping, river rafting and so much more! We've even used them at home when we need an extra table for a party or for poker nights. They set up and clean up so easily, you will not regret buying this table!

I bought this to use to hold accessories for astronomy, but this would also be useful for camping, etc. I had concerns about how sturdy it would be, but it feels pretty heavy duty: heavy coating over solid wood slats and strong legs.
The design (no cross supports) suggests you shouldn't put heavy side-ways pressure on it. Because of its size, it would seem inviting for kids to sit on, but that seems like a very bad idea.
However, I know someone who has had one for several years and it still looks like it's holding up great.
