It’s my turn to host Christmas this year ![]()
I hope to seat everyone in our little family room to eat.
The room has a gas fireplace (not very attractive & from the 70′s I’d imagine).
I’ll be using folding chairs and tables.
The Christmas tree is in there. Balsam, so at least is smells nice.
The room does not have what you would all a warm atmosphere.
Any ideas on how I can make it have more of a Holiday homey feeling?
Thank you.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Well, I know the proper paint colors on a wall can ABSOLUTELY change the feel of the room. It’s not that expensive and if you’ve got a couple of days to do it I’d do that. I’m so glad I painted my walls in my apartment.
I’d also put up some decorations. Garland, strings, table cloths, pillows everywhere. Make the place look soft and inviting.
Also, never underestimate the importance of lighting. Candles, soft lighting, but not too soft so no one can see. Did mention candles? Burn them even with the lights on.
Good luck.
