does anyone know where i can get buy/hire large wine goblets to use for decoration? iam planning to fill them with water and flowers and use in the centre of each table.

Try an on-line company. Most of the hobby companies have them. Craft stores have them. You can also ask lerheebouquets.com
They do custom wedding designs. They have a contact option on their website. They do a lot of wedding planning.

Pier 1 has alot of wine goblets for about $2 each. I dont know if they have them in Austrailia or not.
