I originally noticed folding poker tables after I  sold other goods on eBay. I essentially came upon them totally by luck while I was perusing the items of one of my wholesale sellers and noticed them. They drew my curiosity so I started doing a bit of investigation.

I had forever cherished getting together with relatives and poker buddies for an exciting game of Hold ‘em, but I sincerely was not conscious that all these fun poker products were even offered for personal use. We would sit around a table in the dining room and haul out our shoddy poker chips, take out the cards and drinks and got down to poker. I was wondering how these poker tables would have an effect on our playing.

So I did my investigation and was really astonished to discover that there were in fact a type of these tables that did not even need legs called poker table tops. Someone could merely place them up on top of a normal table. The vivid markings painted on them and the poker chip trays and cup holders for every person interested me. So I went ahead and purchased one.

Are you a soccer mom constantly running kids to this field and that field all over the county on a daily basis? Do you find that you are always lugging a chair or chairs around with you or wish you could replace your portable folding chairs with something new? With new innovations in frame materials, pivot materials and seating materials, you can find just about any kind of portable folding chairs in just about any kind of retail stores even your local grocery store.

In the past the only folding chairs available were the plastic or metal folding varieties that were rather cumbersome and very difficult to carry more than a short distance. Engineers and sporting goods manufacturers like Macabee (MAC Sports), Northpole and Yuan Yhen have been refining the portable chair market for nearly two decades. There are basically two types of portable folding chairs. There are the types designed for going around tables or in convention, meeting or other types of halls and then there are what are often referred to as “bag” chairs.

The first type is the standard type of plastic or metal folding chairs that you use around a card table or as extra chairs in the basement. Many times these kinds of portable folding chairs are used in church halls and other types of halls for weddings or other gatherings. They are also used at outdoor picnics and shelters and as rental chairs. These chairs are really only portable in ones or twos. To transport more than a couple of these metal or metal and plastic monsters you need to have a cart that is designed to hold upwards of twenty of these chairs and is on rollers. The cart is usually designed only to roll on hard surfaces so if you need to set up an outdoor tent for a graduation party these chairs are hand carried from the delivery truck to the table areas.

Sturdy

Assuming your card table chairs are going to be getting a lot of use from adults, you will want your folding card table chairs to be sturdy enough to hold adults of at least 200 pounds easily. And, you want them to do so comfortably. The last thing you want is for chairs to collapse under people and maybe hurt them. So be willing to pay a little bit and check the weight limit to get well constructed chairs that are going to stand up to a little bit of wear and tear.

My daughter’s having a TX BBQ wedding reception (so it’ll definitely be more casual), and wishes to keep costs down. Suggestions on how to cover and/or decorate all the guests’ folding metal chairs economically would be greatly appreciated. There will probably be 100+ people in attendance, and I work full-time, so sewing custom covers is out of the question. Renting/buying the covers is quite costly, but they need SOMETHING on the chairs. I’m thinking there must be some attractive way of draping them with fabric and tying it, but don’t know how to proceed. The tables are rectangular and we’ll need to coordinate with table linens as well–suggestions there are likewise appreciated.
