Summer was drawing to a close so i knew time was running out as far as completing any outdoor projects was concerned. My wife has been pestering me about building a kids picnic table since the turn of the year. Because I’m not a DIY kind of person, i got hold of a set of plans which have been hidden away in the tool shed at the bottom of the garden, maybe i was hoping they would just wither away.
As outdoor tables go, this particular model “Naturally Playful Picnic Table with Umbrella” is i have to admit a bit pricey. However the build quality makes up for this with sturdy construction, durability and a surprisingly good umbrella. In comparison with other products, this little table comes out on top, in my opinion.
And because it is so well made, you will find it will take about six months before you see any sign of wear and tear. Six little ones can be seated comfortably with ease, and i myself have been able to sit without the fear of damaging it, though i must say that i could feel the bench sag, under my weight.
The thought of kids tables and chairs takes me back to when I was a youngster and my dad brought me home a table all for myself. It was my size and I thought it wonderful, but I had no chair to sit at. My dad made me that chair and I remember them both to this day. Kid’s tables and chairs make fantastic gifts and your kids will remember them all their lives. They are something that they can use, just like adults use their furniture, and give them a sense of responsibility, owning their own furniture.
