The French nobility created the first rules of etiquette on how to serve and guidance of social behavior. These standards have strict standards that are changing and adapting over the centuries. Nowadays, a big mistake that a host can make is, rightly, to want to impose strict rules. One must assume that people are not obliged to know everything and from that concept is possible to offer elegance and sophistication with more freedom.

The important thing is to know the most common types of services and ways of receiving and following these parameters with common sense. For those not familiar with the rules of hospitality, we put a rundown of each type of service:

French Service: usually used in very exquisite events. In this service, the empty plate is placed on the right side of the client, and then the waiter presented the dish to the customer on the left. Supporting the lane on the left hand, the waiter gives the customer service with the cutlery. The customer picks up the silver service and serves itself and put food on your plate.
