Sam there is no easy way to do this yourself, the amount of work & heavy lifting involved is way to much effort. You can dismantle & reassemble the table quite easily by removing the bolts that hold the table together, however putting it all back & making sure its level is a different bag of tricks all together. In my humble opinion if the table is free of charge pay somebody to do the donkey work of moving building & levelling it for you.
If you’re lucky enough to get a fullsize table for free, you need to spend the extra to get it properly levelled. On top of this, these things weigh a ton: they’re so big and heavy that they actually need to be bought in piece by piece and assembled on site. Then they need to be levelled, which can be a two hour job.
Effectively, you’re getting a full size table for £300!!! Even second hand, they cost around £2000 or £3000, so just pay the money and get it done properly.
depinding on the table. if it has drop in type or the traditional leathe drop pockets, remove them or undo the straps from the bottom. the start removing thr bolts for the rails. remove the rails. then u need a tack puller to remove the staples that holds the cloth to the slate, or it could be glued down. start removing the screws that holds the slate. after removing the slate take the leg bolts off. remove the frame and now u are done. i would advise u to get it professional assembled.
